This is a sad day for us, as the last edition of TOGETHER is issued. Links of friendship will, I’m sure, continue with The Church of the Ascension, Loundsley Green, and St. Mark’s Brampton, and there will always be a welcome for each other in our Churches. What is going to happen in our new MMAs in terms of communication is, as yet, unknown, but we at Old Brampton are anxious for you to know that we will be doing our best to KEEP IN TOUCH, albeit on a much less formal and regular basis.
We will want you to know about our Services, our special events and other happenings, our Summer Fete (Sunday June 8th 2008…in case you were wondering!) and in due course OUR NEW VICAR. Who knows what we might be telling you then!!
In the meantime, we thank you for being loyal supporters of the Magazine, and we hope that if in the future there is a regular replacement to “Together” we can count you in.
Sally Knight, Old Brampton
THANK YOU is so important to say….but naming names can be
dangerous, because of the ones that aren’t there! So, apologies in advance for any that might be missing. TOGETHER and its forerunners have been going for many years, and we give collective thanks to all who have been involved in it in any way. However, I think it is safer to keep specific thanks to this last year – so here goes!To Rev’d Tony Kaunhoven (just!), Rev’d Frank Willett, Celia Kelly and James Wilson for their up-front articles; to all others who have made written (or artistic) contributions; to our advertisers and distributors; to Sheila and John Kerr for co-ordinating the distribution; to Mr and Mrs Hawkes our printers and collators; to Ron Baxter for dealing with the finances; to Paul Woodhouse-Severn for putting the magazine on the website; but especially to Mr Editor himself, Martin Hammond-Hallam (with Donna in a full supporting role) for doing not only the editing, but gap-filling too and generally making it all happen – and finally to you, our readers….thank you all.
