Evening prayer 5pm (approximately 20 minutes long) using Northumbrian Community liturgy

Daily Prayer

A Prayer for today ... and tomorrow
Lord, in these troubled and uncertain times,
we pray that we may live our lives
from the depths of our being, where You reign:
that compassion may reign in our hearts;
that empathy may reign in our hearts;
that all tendencies to put ourselves first,
to the exclusion of others, will be checked;
that we may recognise and act
on the opportunities to express Your Love,
knowing that when You reign in our hearts,
we have all the strength we need.
Amen

Pastoral Care

'Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.'
This is the invitation of Jesus as Lord; of God to us.
The pastoral care in this church works under the banner of this invitation. Our church pastoral carers minister in the name of Him who extends this welcome to all.
Someone is always available in the Lady Chapel after each main Sunday service for individual care and prayer. All interaction is in strictest confidence.
Remember, you don't need to be at your wits's end to reach out to God: nothing is too big or too small for His care.
